Creating has always been a key part in my life.
When I was a little child, I wanted to become a film director and actor.
Naturally my ultimate dream was to win an Oscar.
Later, in my teens I found interest in comics and video games, I began drawing every day and dreamed about a career as an illustrator.
In my early adulthood it was time for a drastic change again. Although in the past never been a musician I started to write songs. I began to perform as a local singer-songwriter and enthusiastically joined a blues-rock band as the lead-vocalist.
My life was awesome until I became ill.
What was wrong with me?
For a challenging period of two years, I found myself endlessly searching for a proper answer. Losing many things including my job in an elderly nursing home and further education. Later on some friends and my band.
When your on stage you can’t abruptly stop in the middle of your songs. I was too ill to carryout what I passionately loved.
Eventually, after many doctor appointments and visiting other specialists, I was diagnosed with M.E. short for myalgic encephalomyelitis.
After losing so much, I needed a new creative way to express myself so I did what had to be done: Change…
I started experimenting with various creative mediums, began a journey to investigate ways to alleviate my illness and did my utmost to find acceptance.
After all I undoubtedly found my way in art and health.
Against all odds I have never been happier in my life. I hope to inspire you to believe in your path, even when there is no visible light at the end of the tunnel. Because life is beautiful no matter what.
